Planet Earth III ‘Coasts’ - Intro Sequence

Over the course of a year we had the honour of pulling together a high impact surf opener for BBC’s latest natural history epic. Dreaming up long lens, Inspire aerials, Shotover, waterhousing and gimbal shots in fleeting windows of favourable conditions was always going to be an epic challenge. Shot on location in southern Tasmania, the sequence follows a lone big wave surfer moving through the landscape before crossing the line between land and sea.

Shot with Red V-Raptor and Canon / Cooke lenses.
